As massive rescue and recovery operations continue across Nepal, citizens, volunteers and youth groups are stepping up to provide essential relief to flood-hit communities. In Kathmandu’s Tokha area, volunteers are preparing and sending mattresses, drinking water, tarpaulins and ready-to-eat meals. Meanwhile, in Chitwan, Nepal Police divers and disaster management teams are continuing the grim task of recovering bodies from the Trishuli River, with dozens recovered in the past 24 hours.
