Speaking at the NDTV World Anviksha Summit in Kathmandu, Nepal Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal explained Kathmandu’s approach to what is often described as “balanced diplomacy.” He said Nepal’s relationships with India, China and other powers are unique and should be viewed on their own terms. Khanal stressed that Nepal’s foreign policy must ultimately be guided by the country’s national interests.
