Researchers at IIT Madras have developed an Artificial Intelligence platform and open database to accelerate the discovery of sustainable advanced alloys. Using Large Language Models, the system extracts materials data from more than 10,000 research papers and organises information covering over 350 properties. Two databases contain more than 185,000 structured records. The platform combines technical performance with environmental, economic and social indicators and has been tested for automotive, aerospace, energy and marine applications.
