A traditional Ganga Aarti, a ritual deeply associated with the ghats of Varanasi, Haridwar and Rishikesh, is set to be held along the River Thames in London this September. The cultural celebration will bring together Indian music, food, community activities and the ceremonial evening aarti by the river. Organised by Chinmaya Mission UK in collaboration with Totally Thames, the event is open to people of all faiths and backgrounds. Organisers describe it as a symbolic meeting of the Ganga and Thames, two rivers that have shaped cultures and communities across generations.
