US President Donald Trump said he has “no tension with anybody” after meeting Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez during the FIFA World Cup 2026 final. Trump congratulated Spain on defeating Argentina and praised the country’s football team, despite recent differences between Washington and Madrid over defence spending and the Iran conflict.
