Ramesh Mhatre, the Shiv Sena corporator accused of assaulting a doctor at a Maharashtra hospital, surrendered before police in Kalyan and was remanded to judicial custody till August 3. NDTV confronted Mhatre following his surrender, but he declined to answer questions as the case took a dramatic turn after the cancellation of his bail.
