Damascus: Two Bombs Explode Near Emmanuel Macron’s Hotel In Syria

Two explosions rocked central Damascus on during French President Emmanuel Macron’s visit to Syria — the first by a senior European Union leader since the fall of Bashar al-Assad. The blasts struck in the vicinity of the Four Seasons Hotel where Macron had been staying, as well as near the Tourism Ministry and the National Museum. Eighteen people were wounded in the explosions, including four police officers. The French President was reported to be safe and unhurt, with officials confirming he did not hear the blasts.
