A flaw in the key generation process of Coldcard hardware wallets has been linked to the theft of 584 Bitcoin, worth around $38 million, from 500 wallets in just 25 minutes. Security researchers said the vulnerability affected how wallet seeds were generated in certain firmware versions, potentially exposing users to attacks. Coinkite has acknowledged the findings, while both the company and Block continue investigating the extent and exploitability of the issue.
