A Bengaluru engineer has developed an AI-powered system that detects potholes using dashcam footage, GPS and vehicle sensors, while also identifying contractors and officials responsible for affected roads. By analysing thousands of government contracts, the technology can create detailed records within seconds, offering a potential new way to strengthen civic complaints, improve accountability and accelerate road repairs.
