The devastating aftermath of the Nepal floods has left authorities facing the grim task of identifying hundreds of victims. In an NDTV ground report from Devghat Forest in Chitwan, contributing editor Prabhakar Kumar reports on the mass graves being prepared for unclaimed and unidentified bodies. Around 200 bodies are lying in an overcrowded mortuary, which has a capacity of just 50. Authorities are photographing the bodies and collecting DNA samples before burial, allowing relatives to identify their loved ones and enabling DNA matching later.
