A united opposition has escalated its challenge to the Election Commission’s Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls by sending a joint letter to the Chief Justice of India. Signed by 23 political parties and one Independent, the letter raises concerns over the SIR process and other election-related issues. According to sources, parties including the Congress, TMC, Samajwadi Party, Left parties, DMK and AAP have backed the move, underscoring opposition unity on the issue.
