Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has issued a firm warning against any attempt to operate or manage the Strait of Hormuz without Iran’s direct oversight, insisting that Tehran alone has the authority to govern the reopening of the critical waterway. The warning came during a visit to Baghdad, where Araghchi met his Iraqi counterpart Fuad Hussein to discuss bilateral cooperation, the conflict in Iran and arrangements for the funeral of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.
