Microsoft’s consumer ESU programme for Windows 10 users was set to provide security updates until October this year. However, Microsoft has now quietly extended the programme by another year. As a result, eligible Windows 10 users will continue to receive security updates through October 12, 2027. An existing ESU license can be used to cover up to 10 devices. Devices running on Windows 10, version 22H2 Home, Professional, Pro Education or Workstations edition are eligible to join the consumer Windows 10 ESU programme.
