Many described the resignation as a victory for students and democracy, while recalling weeks of protests over the NEET paper leak and demanding accountability for the alleged police action during the July 20 protest. Despite the CJP announcing the withdrawal of its agitation, several protesters said their movement was far from over. They insisted that wider education reforms, accountability for the paper leak, and action over the police crackdown must follow, warning they would return to the streets if the government’s assurances were not fulfilled.
